MAGGIE BELL

Born - January 12th 1945, Glasgow, Scotland.
A fine singer with a strong, powerful voice. Maggie began her career with Scottish blues group Stone The Crows. She was voted Best Female Vocalist by Melody Maker in 1971. Stone The Crows released 4 albums before they split up in 1973. Maggie then followed a solo career and had a top twenty UK single with BA Robertson in 1981 titled "Hold Me".
Bands - Stone The Crows, and solo work. Maggie also sang backing vocals on Rod Stewart`s "Every Picture Tells A Story".

ERIC WOOLFSON

Born - March 18th 1945, Glasgow, Scotland.
Vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, pianist and co-founder of The Alan Parsons Project (1975). This talented man also engineered Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), and was a recording engineer on many Beatles and Paul McCartney albums. Eric has written for musical theatre since leaving The Alan Parsons Project in 1987. The APP single "Eye In The Sky" reached number 3 in the USA in 1982.

GERRY RAFFERTY

Born - April 16th, 1947, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Gerry is a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He formed Stealers Wheel with Joe Egan (born Paisley in 1949) in 1972. In 1973 they released the hit single "Stuck In The Middle With You" which reached number 6 in the USA, and number 8 in the UK singles chart. Stealers Wheel split in 1975 and Gerry went on to have success as a solo artist. The single "Baker Street" reached number 2 in the USA, and number 3 in the UK singles chart in 1978. "Baker Street" was taken from the City To City album which reached number 1 in the USA Billboard albums chart also in 1978.

Ian Anderson is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and flautist, who is best known as the head of Jethro Tull. Jethro Tull formed in 1967 and are still active today. Tull have released 30 albums, and sold more than 60 million copies.

DAVID BYRNE

Born - 14th May 1952, Dumbarton, Scotland. David`s family relocated to Baltimore USA when he was aged 2.
David became singer and guitarist for pop/punk/rock band Talking Heads who released their self titled debut album in 1977. The band released 8 studio albums and 3 live, including the seminal "Stop Making Sense". Talking Heads split in 1991 and David went on to follow a fruitful solo career.

Born - (James Ure) 10th October 1953, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
Singer, guitarist and song writer who co-wrote the Band Aid single "Do They Know it's Christmas?" with Bob Geldof. Midge and Bob organized the Live Aid and Live 8 concerts. The single "If I Was" reached UK number 1 in 1985. Midge was awarded an OBE in 2005 for services to music and charity.

Born - (James Swan) 28th April 1956, Cowcaddens, Glasgow, Scotland. Jimmy`s family emigrated to Adelaide, Australia when he was aged 4.
Gravel voiced vocalist who began his career in 1977 as frontman in popular Australian rock band Cold Chisel . He became a solo artist in 1984 and had a minor hit single in the USA with "Working Class Man" in 1986, and teamed up with Inxs for another high selling single "Good Times". He has released 17 solo albums so far. Jimmy remains one of Australia`s best loved rock singers.

FISH

Born - (Derek William Dick) 25th April 1958, Edinburgh, Scotland.
Progressive rock vocalist Fish joined Marillion in 1979. Marillion released their first single Market Square Heroes in 1982, followed by their debut album Script For A Jester's Tear in 1983. In 1985 the band's Misplaced Childhood album reached the number one chart position in UK, and the single Kayleigh reached number two. Fish left Marillion in 1988 to follow a solo career. He released his first album Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors in 1990. Fish has released 8 solo studio albums so far.
